Continuing my efforts in chronicling the events of my life, I guess I should jump on the "10 things" bandwagon and remember the 10 things that shaped my life this decade. Given that I can't even remember offhand how old I was in 2000 (I think 9? Oo that was p3 right?!) most of the events will probably be from later years, and would most likely get pretty boring anyway cos they all take place in school or other related, mundane things that I've been limited to. Heck, I'm just gonna make the most of it anyway. Should be in order of importance I suppose:
#10 Getting drunk
No I'm not drunk, but sure looks like I am huh? I mean, who in their right mind would ever wear a wig like that right jing!?This has officially convinced me to never ever drink like I did on that fateful night ever again and I've always made it a point to remain sobre ever since. My test? Most of the time, the moment I start singing, I'm a goner. I can still remember the year pretty clearly, actually...party at Dan's house, went down to Orchard and just lost it there. Quite amazing that I didn't start anything.
#9 First performance

I totally fucked up this one, was at the 2007 RIGE concert? No idea how to use the mike, couldn't be heard at all, but I don't think most of the people who were there to watch minded cos I'm sure they weren't taking us seriously anyway. A video of our cover of a CERTAIN SONG ended up on youtube and got promptly flamed like mad...there were times when I couldn't even bring myself to read the comments >< But it was the start of something good I guess.
#8 RI/RJC
the og that owned everybody during orientation give some props pls!?
CCAL camp
promYeah I know, it's kinda lame but it's true isn't it? This would have to figure on the list somewhere in the end, so might as well put it down now. Moving from primary to secondary to JC really shaped my life, made me look at things differently, made me hate a lot of things, made me more conscious of myself. Thank you, Raffles, for making me a more angry person!
K I'm getting bored so I'll just skip to the top 3!
#3 Softball
THE team
THE table, where we start off each morning and where we launch scathing attacks on other lesser beings in school, mostly touch ruggers since they were so near anyway.
Colours 2008
Singapore U23 against HKWhat can I say? I guess I should've known when by some miraculous turn of events I found that I really liked crushing balls with a giant stick and hurling them across long distances. Granted, my journey thus far through this sport hasn't exactly yielded as much GOLD as I would've liked, but it has taught me SO MUCH I don't even know where to start. All the failures, the disappointments and the trials...the hours that not just me but every one on the various teams I've been involved with put in for the sole purpose of achieving one single goal, has really left an impression on me even til now. I've learnt to appreciate every little thing that comes my way, and if I remember, thank God for it.
Looking back, I think I should be satisfied with that I've achieved in this sport...representing and captaining the country, eventually getting into Combined Schools even though my tenure there was a very troubled one indeed...I've also made a lot of good friends through the sport, and hopefully we'll stay in touch for a long long time.
For now, just gotta make sure I get into SRC.
#2 3/4P
THE CLASSTHE MOST FKING A CLASS IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE AND ALL THAT'S BEYOND IT!!! I think it says a lot that we still keep in touch, and still suan Peng like the world's gonna end tomorrow. THE MOST INSANE MOST SUAY bunch of FUCKTARDS ever AND I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER TO BE A PART OF IT!
#1 My one and only best friend
For obvious reasons...Sad thing, but the most important thing even now. It didn't work out, and I was crushed. Hi I hope you see this, so you know I still remember you! I hope some day we can be friends again.
